Jeanie's Magnificent Soaps and Creams is a small, handmade business in Palm Bay, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit jeaniesmagnificentsoapsandcreams.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses, plus anything you include in your message.
Payment information. Card payments are processed securely by WooPayments, which is powered by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at our site (for example, from a social media link). Some of this is collected through cookies, described below.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and deliver your orders
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your questions
- To handle returns, exchanges and refunds
- To send news and offers by email, only if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time
- To keep our site working well and to help prevent fraud
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed with the services that help us run the shop:
- Payment processing: WooPayments and Stripe, to take your payment
- Shipping carriers: your name and address, to deliver your order
- Website hosting: Hostinger, which hosts our site and stores its data
- Email: Hostinger Reach, to send our emails if you've signed up
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use them to keep items in your cart, run checkout, keep you signed in to your account, and understand how visitors find our shop. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for business, tax and accounting purposes. If you have an account, we keep your account details until you ask us to delete them. Email sign-up details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update your details at any time in My Account, and unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any email. Some information may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
Keeping it safe
Our site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and payments are handled by a trusted payment processor. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Children
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
